Common luxury often taken for granted... not anymore!

Recognize these? These are ice cubes!

Do you remember these? These are ice trays and the bin into which we empty the ice cubes once they're completely frozen.

You guessed it! Our refrigerator freezer does NOT have an automatic ice maker. We don't need no stinkin' ice maker! It's just a common luxury we often took for granted before, but not anymore. My husband and I are the ice makers in our house these days. Hard to fathom in this modern day and age, I know, but it's true. It's pretty amazing how it all works!

If we want one (or more) of these... ... this is what we have to do...
This next step is a pretty important one too. In fact, it's somewhat key to making ice... Bingo! You have to put it in the freezer. I think you're catching on here!
And now... now, my friends... we wait... which is, perhaps, the hardest part of all.
